Campuses

The University of Helsinki has 11 faculties, and it provides teaching on four campuses in Helsinki: the City Centre, Kumpula, Meilahti and Viikki. In addition, the University has research stations in Hyytiälä, Värriö, Kilpisjärvi and Kenya.

The multidisciplinary City Centre Campus in the very heart of the capital city is the largest campus of the University of Helsinki. It houses the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences, the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Theology, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Swedish School of Social Science

Kumpula Campus on the map

Dedicated to research and teaching in the exact natural sciences, the Kumpula Campus is perched on a verdant hill only four kilometres from the centre of Helsinki. This idyllic campus comprises the largest cluster of scientific competence in the Nordic countries. The research conducted on the Kumpula Campus is recognised as world class, and teaching is provided by successful scientists.

This campus is also known as the Academic Medical Center Helsinki (AMCH). It is one of the best medical campuses in Europe bringing together top research, teaching and medical care every day. The core of the AMCH’s work is the close cooperation between the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Medicine, the Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HiLIFE), and the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS) to provide the very best for its patients.

This campus surrounded by green fields is a hub of teaching and research in the fields of biosciences, agriculture and forestry, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine. It also hosts several government research institutions, the esteemed Viikki Teacher Training School and a teaching and research farm for agricultural sciences with extensive grounds that are popular as recreational areas amongst the locals

HOW ABOUT GETTING A JOB IN FINLAND?

The country will face a labour shortage in the future & Finnish employers will need more skilled hands in the long run. Helsinki Think Company brings together students, researchers and people interested in entrepreneurship and helps them put their academic skills into action. Helsinki Think Company has three different venues located in different campus areas: one in the Think Corner at the City Centre Campus, one at the Viikki Campus, and one at the Meilahti Campus.

Application Requirements

Tuition Fees : The fees for the University of Helsinki Master’s Programmes are 13,000, 15,000 and 18,000 EUR per academic year, depending on the programme.
